Great Plateau Shrines Recommended Order (BotW)

There are a total of 4 shrines on the Great Plateau and they are all necessary to advance The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, here is the order I recommend!

Oman Au Shrine

The game actually recommends that you visit the Oman Au Shrine first after activating the Great Plateau Tower, but regardless, I believe that it’s the best shrine to complete first as there are many metal chests all over the Great Plateau that you need Magnesis for and there is a ruby chest nearby.

Ja Baij Shrine

The next shrine I recommend completing is the Ja Baij Shrine as the remote bombs acquired here are very useful for combat, especially when it reaches night time. Furthermore, the weaponry found here will also help and it is along the route to the Old Man’s hut.

Owa Daim Shrine

The next shrine I recommend completing is the Owa Daim Shrine due to two main reasons:

  • It is where stasis is collected which can help along the mountains.
  • It is the next nearest shrine after Ja Baij.

Keh Namut Shrine

The fourth and final shrine – for now – which I recommend completing is the Keh Namut Shrine, after completing it you will have walked round the entirety of the Great Plateau in a horseshoe motion!

Congratulations! You have completed all four shrines of the Great Plateau, all you need to do now is get to the Temple of Time and continue the game!
