Most people tend to listen to the King in the Temple of Time and leave the Great Plateau almost immediately after, usually either for Impa, The Master Sword (with a newfound Glitch), or a Divine Beast. However, there a few things you can do on the Plateau before leaving that will help you in whatever direction you take!
Pick up the Knight’s Bow and Arrows from the Temple of Time
You’d be surprised how many people miss the Knight’s Bow in the Temple of Time completely! After talking with the King for the last time on the Plateau, there is a chest next to him containing the bow, this can help plenty when in the early game! Furthermore, there are some arrows in pots on the ground floor of the Temples, on the other side of the room from the Goddess Statue! Pick ’em up!

Defeat the Stone Talus
Another thing to do before leaving the Plateau is defeating the Stone Talus that resides just north north-west of the Shrine of Resurrection. I recommend keeping the Iron Sledgehammer found near the end of the Stasis Shrine, all Iron Sledgehammers in the game deal 8X damage to all variants of the Talus! The gemstones the Talus will leave behind can fetch a high price and help you buy armor to help you or the Gerudo Vai set to allow you entry to Gerudo Town.

Collect all Koroks
This may seem like a very laborious thing to do, but trust me, it will help! The Plateau is a relatively safe place as there aren’t too many strong enemies, (unless you’re in master mode, watch out for the Lynel!), and after speaking to the King, all Koroks are available! This will help for when you need more inventory space later on! Check out the video below for all Korok locations on the Great Plateau!
