The Katosa Aug Shrine is the resident Shrine of the East Akkala Stable. It’s one of the more enjoyable Shrines of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Here’s how to complete it!
Location
The Katosa Aug Shrine is located up a hill across the road from the East Akkala Stable. It’s just south of the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab and far north-east of the Akkala Tower.
Walkthrough of Katosa Aug Shrine
Upon entering the Shrine, you’ll be able to see the main puzzle straight away. To your right, the path extends to a Apparatus Controller. Take control of the Apparatus and knock the Sheikah Orb into the Sheikah Plate. This will trigger the moving platform to glide over to the entrance so you can reach the Monk. Shrine done!
But, before you get the Spirit Orb, walk round the Monk to a second room which has a similar puzzle. The difference is that the path from the orb to the plate isn’t straight, it’s curved round so you need to hit the Orb at the right angle to spin round to the hole.
When you get the orb into the hole, a moving platform will glide to you from the right which will carry you over to a chest containing a Giant Frostblade. Once you’ve obtained the Giant Frostblade, walk back to the first room and acquire the Spirit Orb from the Shrine’s Monk!
