The Dah Hesho Shrine is one of the most commonly visited Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild because it’s the closest Shrine to Tarrey Town. Here’s how to complete it!
Location
The Dah Hesho Shrine is located south of Tarrey Town and north-east of the Kaepora Pass. From the Dah Hesho Shrine, you can use a Wind Bomb to make it to Tarry Town in a flash – it’s a blast! If you’re not sure how to Windbomb, you can use our Guide to Wind Bombs (BotW)!

Outside, there is also a Korok that has two statues; two of the statues have apples in front of them. Place an apple in front of the other statue to get the Korok Seed! Once you’ve got the Korok Seed you can also take two free apples! 😀
Walkthrough of Dah Hesho Shrine
When you enter the Shrine, you’ll see the main chamber ahead of you where you’ll fight a Guardian Scout, prepare your strongest weapon, shield, bow and armour and prepare Stasis+ if you have it.
Walk over to the hole in the center of the room and the guardian will rise up from its depths. Guardian Scouts in Minor Tests of Strength are the weakest besides their counterparts without weaponry, but they can still do some damage if not fought correctly.
Try to keep your shield up and use one-handed weapons so you always have defence from its lasers. To start, it will use slow attacks which are easily blocked or dodged. When the guardian stops attacking, hit his shield repeatedly – if he has one – to knock it out of the way and then hit it as many times as possible. It’s only a weak fella so it shouldn’t take many hits to get it down to half health. Using Stasis+ has the obvious effect of freezing him in time, but also, any attacks you use while Stasis is active will deal double damage!
When it reaches half-health it will begin to avoid combat, jumping back away from you and shooting more lasers. If you get close it will attack you as usual and begin to spin around to create a huge updraft within the Shrine. Use your paraglider to glide above it and press Y when you’re right above it to perform an air-strike-critical-hit.
When dealt enough damage, it will turn blue and charge using energy in the air. Once it finished charging, it will fire multiple short but powerful blasts which will deal TONS of damage! Run from side to side to avoid these blasts and when it’s charging, use Stasis+ and hit it until it’s gone!
Finally, collect the Guardian’s weapons and everything it dropped, then walk through to the next room and open the chest to find a GIANT ANCIENT CORE! Walk up to the pedestal and acquire the Spirit Orb from the Shrine’s Monk!
Easier Walkthrough of Dah Hesho Shrine
The Easiest Way that I know to defeat these Annoying Tests of Strength is to set an electric trap for the Guardian Scout to fall into! All you need to set up this trap is either a Thunderblade or a Great Thunderblade and some metal kindling if you will. The metal kindling can be any metal melee weapon, bow or shield.
To set this trap, you need to keep the charge on you Thunderblade active, even if you aren’t holding it. To do this, take out the weapon and use it – perform a strike in the air. Halfway through your air-attack, open your weapon’s menu and drop the Thunderblade. From here, you need to place you metal kindling next to the Thunderblade in order to make a charge. You can do this by dropping the metal with the Thunderblade or by Magnesissing something metal to the blade.
Perform this trick just after you enter the main room of the shrine and then walk over to the scout. Lure it to your very own shocking trap and watch the hilarity as the Guardian Scout is stuck in peril and can’t move!
